The Badass Women of 2015

By Susannah Hutcheson, Regular ContributorDecember 2, 2015

2015 has been the year of badass women. From defining feminism to supporting education to standing up to online haters, girls have run the world. The Huffington Post recently released a list of badass women that they’re most thankful for, and I thought a few more women that could stand with them.

Hillary Clinton & Carly Fiorina

Regardless of your political views, these women are totally rockin’ the badass scale. They are running for President in a field widely saturated with men who don’t quite seem to understand women’s rights or issues. They have both been excellent at debates, and they can both show America what strong women look like.

Amy Schumer

Comedian Amy Schumer has spent her year making comedy that matters- standing up to antiquated gender roles, sexual violence, and for herself and her own body confidence. Pretty badass, Amy.

Malala Yousafzai

Malala has stood up for the right to an education and the birth-given right of going to school without the fear of being shot in the head. She has given a lot of attention to the subject of education, becoming an activist, author, and speaker.

Alexis Jones

I mean, obviously, right? She started IATG- however, this year she has began a speaking tour called ProtectHer where she speaks to athletes about  manhood and respect. Badass.

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen has used her platform to stand up for women and to stand up for herself. She has addressed online haters, brought a lot of humor to every one of her followers, and, in perhaps the most badass moment of the year, took to Instagram to show us that yes- supermodels have stretch marks, too.

Let's chat!
