Some people can’t get enough of routine and predictability. Some of those people are not Alle Fister. “Every day is truly a new adventure. I love that moment of ‘what’s going to happen today’ feeling; it’s not intimidating, it’s inspiring, it’s exciting!” Alle is the creative force behind Bollare Communications, a PR firm in fashion, style, and celebrity representing such brands as Timberland, Vans, and Reformation. Alle began as a founding member of the online retailer Shopbop.com, which was acquired by Amazon. As Principal of Bollare, she brings her drive, creativity, and considerable passion for shaping cultural identities in the marketplace to lead a team she loves in an industry that continues to fascinate her. One of her trade secrets: goal setting with a time frame. This, Alle notes, keeps you pushing ahead hard while not getting burnt out or losing sight of your overall aims.
If you could describe yourself in one hashtag, what would it be?
Tell us about a girl in your life who rocks.
Aileen Ablaza, Bollare's West Coast Director. Aileen has been a great part of our Bollare team for the past two years. Why Aileen ROCKS in my book…
1. Total go getter…I am not sure I have ever heard Aileen say, I can't or I won't..
2. She has a commitment to excellence - from daily affirmations that she uses to set the tone of her day, Ai approaches each day as a fresh opportunity to ROCK
3. All while doing so with a grace and compassion for others that is rare to find!
What are your dreams/goals/ambitions?
I love what we have created at Bollare. A dynamic and creative group of ambitious professionals with a commitment to their craft. I look to continue to grow and scale this business as long as we can find the brands to partner with and the team members to employ that keep this energy of committed cool.
What are you most proud of?
Bollare. My family. My marriage
What piece of advice changed your life?
The harder you work, the luckier you'll get.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ideally scaling the answer to the dream question above!
What is the number one item on your bucket list?
To take a RAD trip once per year. This year we're rounding out 2013 with Uruguay!
Who has been the biggest female influence(s) in your life and why?
My parents. The balance between the two of them has taught me compassion, dedication, focus. I am very lucky.
What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken and what did you learn from it?
The moment you stop taking risks is the moment you stop living. I can think of about 10 risks today alone, and they're all 'worth' it if you keep your eyes open and LEARN from them!
Why are you THAT GIRL?
Oh man, I am so honored to be considered 'THAT GIRL" with an organization that embodies so many tenants I value. You have to answer that, not me!
