Pink has never been afraid to share her life through her music. She's written songs about her up-and-down relationship with husband, Carey Hart, and her journey to discover a true sound by escaping the "treadmill" of manufactured music. This artist puts it all on the lyrical table. The video for her latest single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” features that signature amount of attitude and confidence fans have come to expect, but with an artsy French cinema backdrop.
Born Alecia Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Pink's childhood was far from perfect. After the divorce of her parents, the future star began displaying a real rebellious streak. By the time she was 13, Pink had already started performing on the Philadelphia club circuit. She also got involved with drugs and dropped out of high school (although she did go on to earn her GED). Pink was a member of two different, short-lived R&B groups before striking out on her own. Her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, was released in 2000 and produced three hit singles. She also had a number one smash back in 2001 with the collaborative, “Lady Marmalade." It was her multiplatinum sophomore follow-up called Missundaztood, however, which really made an impression fueled by some truly personal tracks. Pink's career has expanded far beyond music with the singer even landing a gig as the newest face of CoverGirl. We love that this busy wife, mother, and performer has never lost her edge as she continues to wear her heart on her sleeve when it comes to her music.
