For R&B singer Elle Varner, the signs of her fated success manifested themselves at an early age. A song penned at age 15, titled "Thank You" not only won her top prize in a local, Los Angeles talent contest, but also earned her a spot in the highly esteemed and highly competitive Clive Davis Program of Recorded Music at New York University. Elle writes of the honor on her website, stating: “To be recognized for my talent in a program that only selects 24 students per class, out of thousands, was like, ‘Wow!’ I knew that I had really stepped up to the plate." Not long after, whispers of this emerging pop R&B artist became shouts and a recording contract put Elle's feet firmly on the path of music stardom and success.
Her 2012 debut album "Perfectly Imperfect" has won Elle critical acclaim and became a family affair with both of her parents lending vocal and production talents to the disc. Among her many fans, Elle counts FLOTUS Michelle Obama as well as presidential daughter, Malia. Of her storied rise to the top and the start of many things to come, Elle writes on her website: "I think every girl dreams of being famous and enjoying all of the hoopla that comes with it, but at this point in my life, I know like I know my name that this is what I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve been blessed with the tremendous gift of music and it’s my responsibility to share it with the world. I see big things in the future.”
