"What's poetry? It's not real, but maybe it's more than real. It's dreaming while you're awake."
~ Caryl Churchill
Liz's great passion is stories - hearing them, telling them, sharing them - and being a part of broadcasting such worthy and necessary stories as those shared by I Am That Girl is an honor. She started teaching in the Women’s Ward of the Baltimore City Jail while earning her degree in Writing and Theatre from JHU and studying music at the Peabody Conservatory. Now, she balances her work with IATG with teaching writing and theater, acting, and her band, Many Distant Cities. Her boyfriend and two dogs keep her company and make her laugh in their little house in Los Angeles.
