If You Want It, Give-It, Live-It!

I usually write about strength training, nutrition, fitness, and such, but I recently noticed an epidemic, and today I feel the need to talk directly to you about living your life and to stop making excuses. The other days, someone asked me: “Why/How are you so happy and motivated every day? Don’t you ever get tired of always being ‘on’ and positive? Nobody can really be that happy!” Honestly, that view and belief is exactly why you are not that happy and enthusiastic about life. Don’t get me wrong, every so often I have days where I just feel off and not as enthusiastic, (I may just be tired or in need of some relaxation) but I am still generally happy with my life. However, I also know that I control my moods and nothing else. Once you come to accept and realize this you will free yourself from being a victim of other people, circumstances, and outside influences.  

Your beliefs about life are what make your current reality and situation. If you believe it is hard to come across good people, an abundance of finances, strong health, and freedom from worries then guess what: it will be very difficult for you to accumulate any of this. However, if you believe that you live in an amazing world and you were meant to live life to its fullest then you activate stimulators in your brain that keep you looking for opportunities to prove you right. Think about it, if you think all men are a**holes then any time a guy has the slightest screw up or you hear any story of someone getting hurt in a relationship you will automatically use that to reinforce your theory and beliefs because you are looking for it. If you believe and reprogram your brain to believe that there are a lot of good people in the world with nothing but love at their core then any time you see an act of kindness—someone buying flowers for their significant other, or a sweet gesture of love---you will reinforce that belief because you are looking for it.


Regardless, both situations occur concurrently around you, but what you focus on is what you recreate. There is a quote that says:

“The good you find in others, is in you too. The faults you find in others, are your faults as well. After all, to recognize something you must know it. The beauty you see around you, is your beauty. See the best in others, and you will be your best. Give to others, and you give to yourself. Appreciate beauty, and you will be beautiful. Admire creativity, and you will be creative. Love, and you will be loved. Seek to understand, and you will be understood. Listen, and your voice will be heard.” –Unknown

This is the entire foundation of the law of attraction. You get what you emit on a daily basis so if you believe in negativity, life sucks, you just got dealt a bad hand, you are fat, ugly, you have bad genes, or you are not smart enough, then life will prove you right and give all those things right back to you. You attract what you are, not what you need or want. If you want love, then give/be love. Whatever it is, you must first be this yourself then watch as you become a magnet for all of these amazing and beautiful things in your life!

Happiness is not something that some people achieve and others cannot; happiness is a choice and a mindset every day. Things sometimes do not go according to plan, but if you constantly choose to believe that everything that happens is in your best interest then, no matter what, life is perfect and is always working on your behalf to lead you to the ultimate happiness. Traffic happens, planes get delayed, clients cancel, lines are long, people come and go, but every time it happens shift your thinking to “This is for my own good! Something amazing is supposed to come from this because I KNOW I AM ALWAYS EXACTLY WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE!” Life will prove you right and you will start to experience the most amazing connections and opportunities.
