Boulder - Boulder Valley Community

Woohoo, you found a chapter near you! Are you doing your happy dance yet?? Now is your chance to belong to a community that will have your back, lift you up, see your greatness, and listen to what you have to say. It's a community that not only lives in your town, but exists all around the world. Joining a local chapter will light you up from the inside out - you will get to express, discover and love exactly who you are alongside girls doing the same. You will be part of a culture that stands for each other and speaks whatever truth there is to share, without limitations.

Hi there, I’m a 57 year old female entrepreneur who has been committed to women’s/girls empowerment issues for as long as I can remember. I recently came across your group and am super excited to learn more. Is the Boulder chapter an active group? How do I find out more?

I have been following and emotionally supporting IATG for a few years now, ever since I read I AM THAT GIRL in 2014. I am a huge proponent of empowering girls and young women (so much that I’m self-publishing a children’s book series to encourage young girls to develop an interest in STEM!) and would love to meet other women/girls who feel the same. I have had issues in the past with self-image and self-shaming, and as I’ve grown into the community around me, I have received incredible support, though it’s still work every single day to keep up the self-love. I want to grow my community in order to offer my support, and perhaps gain my own insight, to being a woman in today’s society.

I am the Director of a dance group called DRIVE, which stands for Dancers Reigniting Impact and Vision Everywhere. Each dancer on this team became a member of DRIVE by having incredible talent and character. These high school aged dancers want to share their passion for dance while reaching out to their community. Your mission has empowered these young ladies and they would like to help enrich your program with a performance and possibly volunteer work too.

Want to know more about DRIVE to see if it fits your organization’s message?

DRIVE supports the overall development of kids in high school who want to make a difference in every group they are a part of through their love of dance and their commitment to themselves and the communities supporting them. DRIVE is a uniquely focused dance group that supports and encourages kids to find ways to demonstrate and recognize their hard work and efforts related to school, dance, team work and their personal developments as they head toward high school graduation. DRIVE builds on the strengths of these kids to steer them in the direction that sets kids up for future success as community-minded and contributing young adults in our ever-demanding society.

Please let me know if there is something we could set up and thank you for your time with this.

    Jessica Asher

    DRIVE Director

Hi there – I just moved to the area about a month ago from Washington, D.C. and would love to be involved with the IATG Boulder Valley Chapter. I am 28 years old and have a passion for working with teen girls. I wish I would have had a support system like IATG when I was a teen and even in my early 20’s. I have volunteer and professional experience working with teens as it pertains to empowerment, violence prevention and overall support of young people. If you are in need of any more adult volunteers I would love, love, love to check out a chapter meeting.

Please let me know when you get a chance. Thanks so much!
