WHO:
Created by Founder/President of I Am That Girl, Alexis Jones; TG3 is the new philanthropic branch of IATG
WHAT:
TG3 is a one-week, international leadership program that seeks to equip and empower girls regardless of their age, class, religion, ethnicity, or race; to inspire all young women everywhere to pursue their passion and dream big.
WHERE:
TG3’s debut will take place in Phenom Phen, Cambodia. Teaming up with Scott Neeson, former President of Fox International and current Founder of the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF); Alexis Jones will work with a group of phenomenal young women from the CCF schools.
WHEN:
TG Official launch: January 2009
WHY:
Because IATG believes in making a significant difference in the lives of girls and women locally as well as globally. IATG is passionate about positively impacting the world and inspiring future women leaders everywhere.
TG3 will be conducting charity events throughout the year to fund quarterly trips throughout the year to different locations in the world. TG3 is also committed to sharing the adventure and experience by posting daily journal entries and video blogs on www.iamthatgirl.com. IATG hopes to not only empower girls globally through our leadership program, but also create a bridge and inspire a virtual community with our webzine for girls everywhere that transcends international borders. TG3 will also be accepting donations throughout the year so please feel free to get involved at any point. While Cambodia was our first location, South Africa, Egypt and Peru will be our next three destinations for 2009.
