I AM THAT GIRL is a community inspiring girls to think for themselves, speak their truth and discover their purpose.
OUR WHY
The media plays a dominant role in influencing girls’ perceptions of the world around them, as well as helping them to define their sense of self.
The current state of negative media is a global health crisis for girls; causing mental, physical and emotional illness.
We seek to be the solution. By building community and providing girls with a space to consume healthy media, we can silence their crippling self-doubt long enough for girls to think for themselves, discover their voice and speak their truth. This community that provokes meaningful and mindful conversations enables girls to have a higher sense of self worth.

Through our community, both on- and off-line, we provide media that inspires conversations that matter.

- I AM THAT GIRL : Local is a worldwide network of local chapters who are the audience and creators of IATG media.
- I AM THAT GIRL : Live are live events that entertain, inspire and educate our community.

THAT GIRL resides in all of us; all ages, ethnicities, classes and religions.
THAT GIRL is the best version of each of us. She’s compassionate, honest, and contribution-minded. While she is forever a work in progress, she seeks to be confident in her own skin.
OUR CREEDO
Being THAT GIRL is an identity, a responsibility and an opportunity for us to stand for something bigger than ourselves and reminding each other that we are on the same team. Being THAT GIRL means that we recognize our worth, that we’re perfectly-flawed and sublimely beauty-full. Every time we look in the mirror, we are reminded that we are the author of our own lives, believe in the power of our dreams, feel gorgeous inside and out and can reinvent ourselves into whomever we CHOOSE to be. While we’re certainly out to change the world, we must first start with ourselves… so join our mission, rock this world, and be THAT GIRL!
